Boozy Victorian doctors

Here's an even better example of the medical profeesion's different attitude to drink in the 19th century. It's a page of classified ads from the Lancet of April 20th 1872. (The Lancet is a medical journal which is still published.)

Every single advert but one is for booze. Booze of every description: beer, wine, spirits.

I wonder if the Lancet still carries ads like these?
