I'm number two
. . . in the ebuzzing wine and beer blogs rankings for April. It's the highest position I've ever had.
I'm sure it won't last. I can't think up enough shouty posts on a regular basis. You need those to attract attention. Numbers don't work, unfortunately. If they did, I'd be number one every month.
Have any suggestions for what I could shout about this month? Let me know. Otherwise I'll be in for a depressing slip down the rankings in May.

Shoutiness helps, sadly, but its wearisome, and transparent, contrived bids for attention are a huge turn-off.
You could probably retain that near-the-top spot, if you were *really* bothered, by using Twitter, and giving even your numbers posts more of a traditionally journalistic structure with an attention-grabbing headline and whizz-bang, revelatory, narrative-driven opening paragraph.
And also join Twitter.
Not that you asked for any advice.
I'll shut up now.
Homebrew twats?
Ron -
More frequent reviews of Amsterdam cafes and Dutch beer news. You'd satisfy regulars like me, and boost your rankings through the additional search hits.
Mike.
Maybe you need a subtitle to your blog.
'Obsessively mining brewery records of the last 200 years for every last scrap of data.' but punchier.
I like you less ranty, Ron.
Bailey, despite what my family say, shouty isn't my style.
I deliberately break with traditional journalistic structures. At least I think that's what I do. Could also be laziness. Or inherent incompetence. Never good to rule that one out.
As for Twitter - too easy to say something you'll later regret.
I did ask for advice.
I'm going to be totally honest here. I hate both you and Martyn.
