Protz Shield and Papazian Cup

I've been wondering whether to run these again this year. I don't want ro spend the whole of my time whingeing.

What do you think? Do you want me to hold my usual end of year bollocks in historical beer writing context? Maybe I could award a special Dornbusch trophy for rubbish written about Scottish beer.

Let me know what you think.

it would be entertaining

It wouldn't be Christmas without the Protz Shield.

Or you could save time by awarding it to the Oxford beer book?

I vote the high road, time better spent learning new things, like Scottish gravities and techniques! As frustrating as it may be, this is your body of work, let their work speak for itself, right or wrong. Pointing out even the most egregious errors wouldn't do any good to anyone. Someone said something like "small minds talk about people, average minds talk about events, but brilliant minds discuss idea".

Surely, in this year when Protz is a warm favourite to reclaim what is his, you must run it... :-)

If you are going do it again this year, I'm laying claim to this gem. Although, it wasn't actually written this year, I did find this year!

I've been collecting entries all year, and now you want to drop the contest? Awww, please?

Craig, that's already been done, I'm afraid.

How about adding the Protz Humanitarian Medal:

If you have a video award I've got the winner.
