There's an extra special prize for the first to spot it.

You've just learned that James Hole of Newark, your native town, was a Guinness bottler?

Hmmm...clearly a beer competition... looks like the World Beer Awards logo ... you must have been there...is there a new category based on the 1909 style guide?

There wont be drinkalongathon, there will be however be however one of the more practical Ale Flips or Ale Bowls you recounted from Spencer's Cakes and Ale. You said that would be good for "Santa" to drink and isn't "le pere de famille" always Santa?

The black pitcher for the leavings from the beer tasting are the clue in that posting.

W against a yellow background, in a beer context, sounds like Weyermann to me?

Merry Christmas, and hope you get that Abt you're hoping for.
