No Mild. No Burton. Lame.

Park Street, Porter. Proper London-style Porter. On Park Street. On Park Street.

That's a dream for me.

Fantastic! Is that the Pig's Ear Festival Bethnal Green?

What was the porter like?

Gary, even better: the Anchor, the former Barclay Perkins brewery tap.

The Anchor doing a full range of Fullers ales?? I thought it was owned by some pubco now?

I lived there (well, in the manager's house at the back) when I moved back to London 25 years ago. It was a pretty crap place to drink back then.

bryangb, they certainly seem to now. Last time I was there a couple of years ago I don't think they did. The photo was taken in what they call the Real Ale Bar, a tiny room on the corner. It's quite nice in there. The rest of the pub isn't great, but that room certainly is. And the Porter was inwonderful condition.

Barm, I'll be drinking a Fuller's Burton tonight. It's the XXK release.

Hm, I was wondering about trying to blag an invite to the XX launch. I was at the brewery last week, they told us XX was coming but didn't have any for us to try!

bryangb, even I haven't tasted it yet. Well, I did have a sip of the wort as it came out of the mash tun.
