Medieval Mühlhausen

My sister-in-law used to live in Mühlhausen. A town with an almost complete city wall and streets of ancient, totally unmodernised houses.

Her flat was in an incredible building with a weird inner galleries and amazing attics. Didn't look like it had changed much in 400 years. Doubt that's true any longer.

The town also had three breweries for its 50,000 or so inhabitants. I was never quite sure which one of them my beer had come from, but it was good stuff. Dead good stuff. The Pilsator was my favourite DDR bottom-fermenter. As good as most Czech beers.
