They still make a pils, don't they? "Köstritzer Edel". I remember having it at the Berlin festival.

Love that brewery, not only a survivor but continued to excell.
Kranich-Bräu, Edel Pils and Diät Pils all survived the downfall of the DDR..
Plus now, there is also Köstritzer Kellerbier, Witbier, Pale Ale and something called "Red lager"..
The Edel Pils is pretty good, bit the Spezial Pils is srtonger but tastes rougher. Of course the Schwarzbier is always a safe bet.
So Pilsator and Festbier are synonymous, at least to some brewers and in some regions? Makes sense - whether strong Pils or strong Helles, it's all basically super-strength lager... :-D
