Wait! The first one, is it a Porter, an Imperial Stout or a Double Stout? I can't be all those, it'd break RateBeer and BeerAdvocate!!!

Have you tried Limfjords Porter? It really is rather excellent. It's made by Thisted Bryghus these days, and with a somewhat different label.

exactly. Just two examples (there are more) of Danish breweries calling their beer both a Porter and a Stout. I know what these are usually classified as by geeks: Baltic Porter.

Limfjords Porter is indeed a lovely beer. I've had it a few times.

Stout Porter, Double Stout Porter, can't see the problem meself.

And then there's Baltic Stout...

Carlsberg just re-launched this label earlier this year. They also own Wiibroe Porter

This might amuse you Ron - still in Denmark, it's not the only one to do this, but Willimoes has a Porter that's 50% stronger than its Stout.
