Finally

My proper book is out! A guide to the brewing beers of the past. But it's not just a bunch of recipes - there are chapter on ingredients, brewing techniques and a description of the history and development of each style. Pretty cool, eh?

To promote it, I'll be doing a short tour of the East Coast in March, with events in Boston, Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Colonial Williamsburg, Washington DC and Baltimore. Come along if you can. It should be a lot of fun, and there will be beers to drink, brewed from recipes in the book.

But make sure to buy a copy first so you bring it along for me to sign.

I pre-ordered mine on December 20. Amazon tells me it is temporarily out of stock, and can't provide an estimated delivery date. I am assuming this means the first printing sold out. Congratulations!

Florida is tolerable this time of year! But that's a bit far from the north east states. Any plans on looking at some American archives while over here?

Ordered one on Christmas Eve, very much looking forward to it. Hoping to meet you in Boston if I can. Happy New Year, and keep up the great work

Should we bring some Lets Brew examples?

Bill, I'll be travelling by car to Colonial Williamsburg. Is that anywhere near?

Bob Kiley,

I won't have time to visit any archives. My schedule is way too full.

Mark Osborne,

that sounds like a good idea.

let me know when you are in Colonial Williamsburg and I'll try to get down. If Blue Mountain are planning to bottle the version of the 1923 Courage KKK then I will bring some along (assuming it is out by then)

Ron, driving from Philadelphia to Williamsburg will put you on Interstate 95 which runs through Delaware. There is decent brewpub within 1 mile of the Interstate where I'm sure you will find a suitable drink. I might even be talked into parting with a nip of my Courage RIS clone based on your recipe.

Velkyal,

Friday 14th March is when I'll be brewing and giving a talk in Williamsburg.

Bill,

I'll be driving (or rather being driven) from Washington to Williamsburg on Thursday 13th March.

availability of the book in the UK seems to be an issue. ordered a copy a few weeks ago from the book depository who now say it's out of stock. amazon quoting availability in 1-2 months. wonder if it'll arrive before the graham wheeler book I ordered in 2011.

I will definitely order a copy. Would you consider a swing up to Toronto, some great homebrew clubs across Southern Ontario would be very interested
