Barclay Perkins water treatment in 1920

Fun, fun, fun. Look for it elsewhere. I'm still discussing water chemistry.

I notice "bisulphite of lime" was added ; presumably the water came from the main and had been chlorinated.Bisulphite of lime would chemically remove the chlorine. Bisulphite of lime is chemically very similar to Camden tablets used by winemakers.Occasionally my tap water tastes of chlorine and I get rid of the taste using a fraction of a tablet.
