Just had the coolest day at FX Matt.
I've visited plenty of US breweries. But never one that dates back to the 19th century. It was a revelation. So much old kit. Stuff about as old as I've ever seen still in operation. The Lincoln tanks - called that because they were installed when Lincoln was president - blew my mind.
Looking back, I realise what it reminds me of: Fullers. Still family owned, a sense of tradition, everyone really into beer. Even got to meet Fred Matt, current head honcho.
I'm such a lucky git. Getting to do all this cool shit.
Maybe I'll wake up and it was all just a dream.
