That's the main thing I remember about Gotha. The little 1-metre guage tram system. And the beer.
Gothaer ranked pretty low in my unoffical Thuringian brewery league. Pretty much at the bottom, if I'm honest.
I'm amazed that the tram system is still in place. It must be one of the smallest towns in Europe to have its own trams. The population is just 45,000. Extra points for that.
True to form, my least favourite Thuringian brewery is one that's survived. Ironically, or perhaps logically, it was bought out Oettinger, probably my least favourite Bavarian brewery.
