Wait! The first one, is it a Porter, an Imperial Stout or a Double Stout? I can't be all those, it'd break RateBeer and BeerAdvocate!!!
Have you tried Limfjords Porter? It really is rather excellent. It's made by Thisted Bryghus these days, and with a somewhat different label.
PivnĂ Filosof, exactly. Just two examples (there are more) of Danish breweries calling their beer both a Porter and a Stout. I know what these are usually classified as by geeks: Baltic Porter.
Bryan,Limfjords Porter is indeed a lovely beer. I've had it a few times.
Stout Porter, Double Stout Porter, can't see the problem meself. And then there's Baltic Stout...
Carlsberg just re-launched this label earlier this year. They also own Wiibroe Porter
This might amuse you Ron - still in Denmark, it's not the only one to do this, but Willimoes has a Porter that's 50% stronger than its Stout.http://blog.beerviking.net/2013/05/willemoes-when-is-stout-porter-not-stout.html
