It's been a while since I published a new book. Time for a new one. Lager!
Well, not really. (Sorry, Rod.) Not a history of Lager in Central Europe. Just a Short History of Lager in Britain.
Blame the way I write talks. I don't jot down a few notes and wing it. I compose a complete article. I mean complete. There are even footnotes.
Not that I read it out. Writing it is a process of education. When I'm done, it's all in my head. A few slides as prompts are all I need to regurgitate it, bones and all. In printed form, it forms a security blanket, to which I cling as I blab.
Which is a very convoluted way of saying that a happy result of my talk at last year's Glasgow Beer Week is a neat little history of Lager in Britain. Almost 7,000 words. Or 25 pages. Maybe1,500 more with the stuff I cut.
What I'm finally getting around to is a question. Would you be interested in buying this book?
Unless enough of you are, it's not worth paying Lexie to paint a cover.
I'm in.
