So was there another Courage Stout, or does the Let's Brew recipe modify things a bit to make it work better in a homebrewing setup?<br /><br />I assume, though, if the original record talks about 5.5% caramel, that's not the same thing as modern caramel coloring. Do you have any sense what that was? Maybe something like an invert syrup? Or is it a mystery, like CDM. <br /><br />Thanks for any clarifications.
