The Beer Nut went a curious shade of red when I told him the other week how good his stuff was. It's his humble nature that I love about him the most.Thomashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09734969599278020673noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5445569787371915337.post-24590853108769630002008-07-19T13:54:00.000-07:002008-07-19T13:54:00.000-07:00Cheers Ron, that's really nice of you.Now who can ...Cheers Ron, that's really nice of you.

Now who can tell us anything about a brewery just off Wapping High Street? There's a Brewhouse Lane and a huge great chimneym and nothing on t'internet about it. Taylor Walker had a brewery in Limehouse, but that's too far east, I reckon.Boakhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17657725007230709027noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5445569787371915337.post-62345163854706131272008-07-19T08:07:00.000-07:002008-07-19T08:07:00.000-07:00Zythophile,email me personally. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

I've just looked quickly at the description of Hole's in Bernard. Sounds pretty much how I remember it from when I worked there in 1975. And , of course, there's a tantalising mention of AK.

My offer still stands of a box of my beer to anyone who can provide me with a legible photograph of a 19th century brewing log for AK.Ron Pattinsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03095189986589865751noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5445569787371915337.post-51751923622928973012008-07-19T07:56:00.000-07:002008-07-19T07:56:00.000-07:00It always amazes me that anyone wants to read an a...It always amazes me that anyone wants to read an account of one of my pub crawls.

BTW, just hit a great bit in the Whitbread gravity book - samples of what looks like around 100 Stouts all dated September 3rd 1959. It's a bit like the Good Beer Guide, but more detailed.

I hope as many internet writers as possible enter for the Guild awards. It's a very vibrant branch beer writing. I think the judges will be impressed by the quality and variety.

And which categories will you be entering?
