My recipe choices were often based on the available ingredients: 6-row, mild malt are very hard for me to get and when I get them I'm going to do a recipe that uses them almost exclusively (1943 Oat Mild). I've also stopped brewing recipes with impossibly high finishing gravities (I don't have any temperature control so I'm not able to stop fermentation).
