The Harbour Bar in Portrush has the label of the last locally bottled Guinness on display. IIRC, they bottled as late as the 1970's. In Limavady, Owen's Bar still has their old bottling equipment and bottles including labels on display:

https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipONcomvVhx89G9vSA8vzjCz_abxYD5n79QEf8Nq53h-HGwhrRo3cx4gV6K--j2vpw?key=Q0xPR29EZUlSdzI0aTdEQlNxT1QzaHl4dWxDYVBR

https://photos.google.com/share/AF1QipMEZi6FTerkm9O8Uc05sinnvDVa7CUPcE4h4QNI8hs_BwsyKmLwMauMn98zfzW-2w?key=SHNzd3M0cGxiSFg5OEpRdFBhSU1vcThUa3g3cHRB

Also, the grandfather of a friend of mine helped bottle Guinness when he was young. They bottled the beer and stored it lying on its side, turning the bottles every few days. That same grandfather also said that the bottled beer wouldn't condition properly when there was a thunderstorm. I don't know whether there's more to it other than superstition. I should probably ask him whether he knows more about the priming.Andreas Krennmairhttp://dafteejit.com/noreply@blogger.com
